Digital Storytelling
Tuesdays 1-2:30pm
May 10 – June 7
5 classes (in person at Artaluma)
Let’s explore bringing our stories to life!
Participants will learn the basic skills of video storytelling and use them to bring their own personal stories or creative reflections to life.
Who is this class for? You don’t have to be familiar with digital or video technology – the desire to explore telling stories through the visual medium is all you need.
Minimal equipment needed: You need access to a computer (Apple or PC), and a cell phone that can take pictures. To avoid extra cost, we will provide a free account in a very easy and fun video editing program for participants.
Instructor: Elizabeth McKoy . Elizabeth is a certified storycenter.org instructor.
Elizabeth has been a theatre and visual teaching artist, creativity coach, arts curriculum trainer, professional theatre director and non-profit arts leader for over 25 years. Elizabeth also founded and was the Artistic Director for the award winning -Berkeley Playhouse and now the Director of Artaluma in Petaluma.
When she’s not creating, you can find her hanging out with her kooky family of 5 kids, socialist NYC mother, supportive husband and goldendoodle dog.
